Airtel has officially launched ‘Priority Postpaid’, India’s first consumer-focused mobile service powered by 5G network slicing technology. A major step toward premium, congestion-free mobile connectivity.
With 5G slicing, Airtel can create a dedicated “fast lane” on its network for postpaid users, helping maintain smoother speeds, lower latency, and more stable performance even in crowded areas like concerts, stadiums, airports, or busy markets.

The new service is aimed at users who rely heavily on uninterrupted connectivity for:
* Video calls and remote work
* HD streaming
* Online gaming
* Real-time collaboration apps
* Faster app responsiveness during peak traffic hours
Airtel says the feature is automatically available on all eligible postpaid plans, starting from ₹449, while prepaid users can upgrade through the Airtel app or retail stores.
The launch also marks India’s first commercial rollout of consumer 5G slicing in partnership with Ericsson, putting Airtel among a growing list of global telecom operators experimenting with differentiated premium 5G experiences.
