1. Huawei Steps Up Its AI Chip Challenge To Nvidia:
Huawei has unveiled new AI computing technology as China continues its push toward semiconductor self-sufficiency.
At its annual conference in Shanghai, Huawei introduced the “Atlas 960 SuperPoD”, a new computing cluster designed to improve AI training and inference performance. The company also announced plans for future Ascend 970 and Ascend 980 processors expected in 2028 and 2029.
